Dad is now with Mom, as he wished. He also got his wish of going to sleep and not waking up. He is at peace and we are sad. It is a blessing he did not have to suffer and he was ready to go. He would have been 91 in December.
We are hoping to resume the last 1/3 of the trip next week. The idea is to start up in GA where we would have been on the same date and finish the final leg. Next spring we can do the middle section from NJ to GA that we missed due to my needing to come home.
We are putting one foot in front of the other to get things taken care of. When we return we will resume those jobs. All of you who have been through this know what I'm talking about.
Meanwhile, packing and organizing is happening, along with bread baking.
